The rector of Kharkiv National University of Arts named by I.P. Kotlyarevsky Tatiana Verkina informed of it at the press-center of Kharkiv city council today. The opening of the festival will be on the 30th of September in a small hall of Kharkiv National Opera and Ballet Theatre named by M.V. Lysenko. The youth symphonic orchestra “Slobozhansky”, director Timothy Rainish (Great Britain), soloists Joan Rogers (soprano, Great Britain), Darren Geoffrey (bass-baritone, great Britain), special guest Vitaly Korotych (Russia) are going to participate the ceremony of opening.
In general there are works of Mozart, Beethoven, Shuman, Haydn, Verdi, List, Prokophyev, Rimsky-Korsakov, Rakhmaninov, Scriabin and many other composers will be in the festival program. Representatives of Ukraine, Great Britain, Germany, Greece, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Russia, the USA, Switzerland are participating in the festival.
"We are trying to help our musicians and singers to get acquainted with representatives of other countries. They are getting acquainted and create assemblies, organize concerts. They make creative exchange, make contacts and create the Art chain which connect us to many countries of the world", - Tatiana Verkina admitted.
The concerts are passing at Kharkiv national university of Arts, in Kharkiv regional Philharmonic Hall, in the House of organ and chamber music and in Kharkiv secondary special music school.
Also the participants of the festival are going to make master-classes on the 30th of September – the 4th of October – Timothy Rainish, the 3rd of October – Graham Scott (Great Britain), 6-9th of October – Carsten Eckkert (Germany), Dennis Severin (Switzerland), 13-15th of October – Yury Nasushkin (Spain).
Besides that there will be a scientific and practical conference “The profession of a musician in space of time: historical and cultural metamorphoses” on the 2-4th of October.
The festival is passing with a support of the mayor of Kharkiv Gennadiy Kernes, Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, Kharkiv regional state administration.
Information. "Kharkiv assemblies" is the first in Ukraine International festival of classical music which is held with participation of teachers and the best students of Kharkiv national university of Arts. Initiator and leader of the festival is a People Artist of Ukraine, rector of the university of Arts Tatiana Verkina. One of the main ideas of the festival is educational activity and integration of Ukrainian musical Art to European space.
